Waco Press of J. S. Hill 1901 1st. Flexible Cloth Very Good Boxed 
Flexible brown cloth covers (edges worn, chipped), 200 pp. (title, dedication & preface pages edges chipped, small tears at top of many pages not effecting text, page 77 small piece at bottom laid in), tipped in 3 page book announcement with West's portrait, a poem, & obituary of his wife at end. Nicely INSCRIBED by West in 1923. West moved to Texas in 1855 & settled in Waco. For the first two years of the War he served as Confederate attorney for the Western District of Texas, and joined Hood's Brigade, after fighting at Chickamauga he went to east Tennessee with Longstreet, and in early 1864 was honorably discharged." Rare Texas Civil War item.
